The Spider-Man Project

Fan Expo Sketches

This weekend I went to Fan Expo Toronto and, in addition to picking up a ton of comics for this little project, I got a couple of great sketches from some great artists.

First, I got a Spidey sketch from Michael Cho. He’s one of my favourite artists, and he’s from right here in Toronto! This is the first sketch I’ve bought from him, but it will hopefully not be the last. (We also bought a print from him, but it’s not of Spider-Man.)

Next, I got a sketch from Scott Chantler. Scott is currently the artist for Hawaiian Dick. One of my favourite things about Hawaiian Dick and Scott’s art in it is Byrd’s pants. I don’t know what it is about them…they’re just awesome damn pants! Anyway, I asked Scott to draw Spidey with the pants, and he did this great sketch for me:

Unfortunately I haven’t had a lot of time to read comics lately, so this project has kinda stalled in the short term. I’m hoping to get back to it soon, though!
