The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 197The Kingpin’s Midnight Massacre!
Writer: Marv Wolfman
Layouts: Keith Pollard
Finisher: Jim Mooney
Letterer: Joe Rosen
Colorist: Ben Sean
Originally published: October 1979

Other than a brief Daily Bugle interlude, this whole issue is a fight in which the Kingpin kicks the crap out of Spidey. The only reason Spider-Man is alive at the end is because Kingpin chooses the love of his wife over vengeance against Spider-Man.

It was alright, I guess, but the fighting got kind of boring after awhile.
