Huge boring flashback to Spider-Man’s origins in this one. Basically nothing happens for the first nine pages.
Finally, two thirds of the way down page ten, the Beetle shows up and breaks into a candy store right near Aunt May’s house. The cops can’t really figure out why he’s hitting small stores like this, nor why he didn’t even seem to take anything. Later, Aunt May goes to buy some milk and gets captured by the Beetle. (It turns out the reason the Beetle’s been hitting these tiny stores is because he knew one of them would back onto a vault for the adjoining importing company.) Spider-Man shows up and saves the day.
