I decided to just read the origin part of this story. It started off good and got progressively less interesting. It also spans a pretty long period of time, starting off at the same time as Amazing Fantasy 15 and continuing well, well past where I am now. I don’t know how these should have been ordered in my chronology, but the way I have it is most definitely wrong.

It was pretty shocking to go from all the golly-gosh-comic-code goodness of 1960s Amazing Spider-Man to the mature-audiences-teenage-masturbation MAX stuff.

Anyway, I liked the parts that involved Peter Parker - it was neat to have Jessica in the background of those scenes, silently pining after him. Too bad it didn’t really pan out into anything more interesting (to me).
