Untold Tales of Spider-Man 012The Secrets of Betty Brant!

The evil dream-Spider-Man on the splash page looks a lot like the current Zombie Spider-Man!

So we finally find out what’s up with Betty: apparently she has a jerk ex-boyfriend and he’s the one that got her brother hooked on gambling and involved with Blackie Gaxton. Also, her mother got beat up really bad by some gangsters. That’s all fine, but it’s not the big reveal I was hoping for. It’s a shame it had been built up so much, because it just made this seem disappointing.

Other than that, this was a pretty good issue. I really like this whole Sally Avril/Blue Bird thing, though I’m sure it’s not going to end well.
