– Doc Ock looks ridiculous on the cover.
– I never thought Betty Brant would be mixed up with Doc Ock! That was a fun surprise.
– For somebody who’s complete broke all the time, Peter sure splurged in getting a plane ticket to Philly. And to go after a free man and a woman who left him! That is not sound finance.

If you take out all the fighting, this was a really good issue. It’s a shame these things get so bogged down in the long, drawn-out fights. The death of Betty’s brother really surprised me – other than Uncle Ben, I’m pretty sure that’s the first time a character’s died in any of these issues. I think this is also the first time the bad guy got away without being caught by Spider-Man.
