This episode starts off an abbreviated version of the story I saw in FF Annual 1, where Spidey tries to join the Fantastic Four by being a jerk. OH! No, I forgot! This starts off the the narrator calling Spider-Man Peter Palmer! Twice! WTP?! At least they also threw me into the story to make up for it.
Anyway, after that Fantastic Four nonsense, Spider-Man goes on to fight The Chameleon. I didn’t realize that the Chameleon had to actually change disguises; that’s fucked, I thought he had magic powers or crazy gizmos that did that for him. Maybe he’ll get those later.
This story was alright, but not super interesting. I’m actually starting to wonder if I’m going to like all the old Stan Lee stories. I know he’s the best and these are classics and everything, whatever, I just get the impression that these were geared towards kids (which they are) and that I might not be able to get into that kind of writing.
