Almost completely a retelling of Amazing Fantasy 15. The only brand new material is the last page, which is set two days after Ben’s death, at Ben’s funeral. There’s just not much here if you’ve already read Amazing Fantasy 15. It seemed somewhat unnecessary, to be honest.

There is more insight into the creation of the webbing itself – he finishes the webbing overnight a week later in the high school chemistry lab, though he’s been studying multi-polymer compounds for two years. They still skim over the shooters themselves – “tomorrow I’ll see if I can make the device portable” – but we know it’s something he’s also been working on for awhile. I don’t know why I’m so hung up on this, but it’s interesting to me. :)

We even find out where the costume came from – the dance class was throwing out some old blue body suits and Peter finds one that’s like new – then it’s just a matter of silk-screening the pattern on. Pretty nifty.
